Welcome to Brass Down Under – an initiative aimed at supporting, promoting and sponsoring brass band performance.

Recognising the contribution made by Australian band performers in the world wide brass band fraternity, BDU will seek to assist, nurture and support the achievements of the highest standards of brass performance.

The major undertaking for 2005 will be as principal sponsor for the first ever visit to Australia of the YBS Band in August, with their Australian born Musical Director Professor David King. This outstanding brass band can rightly lay claim to the title Band of the Decade – if not the finest ever!

They have, since 1966, been European Champions no less than 8 times, British Open Champions 4 times and All England Masters Champions 3 times.
